Dr. Kalischer
After 20 years of experience working in a New Jersey-based cardiology group, Dr. Alan Kalischer opened his solo practice in 2005 with two office locations in Fanwood and Westfield. He assembled a team of highly-experienced professionals trained in the best-quality patient care and cardiological technical specialties.
Fanwood-Westfield Cardiology has worked with patients with a wide variety of cardiac diagnoses, establishing treatment plans and consistent monitoring plans through cardiac testing. Dr. Kalischer and his team pride themselves on taking a personable approach with every patient, taking the time to establish the type of doctor-patient relationship necessary in order to achieve the best outcome according to the patient's individual needs. In addition, Dr. Kalischer's many contacts with the most respected cardiac surgeons and interventionalists in the field enable him to provide the absolute highest quality of care to his patients.

Melissa Halbeisen
I am a board-certified Cardiac Nurse Practitioner with a strong focus on providing comprehensive, patient-centered cardiovascular care. I work closely with Dr. Kalischer to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of heart conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and preventive cardiology.

My approach emphasizes evidence-based medicine, thoughtful clinical decision-making, and clear communication. I believe patients do best when they fully understand their condition and treatment plan, and I take the time to listen, educate, and partner with patients in their care.
I am committed to delivering high-quality cardiovascular care while treating each patient with compassion, respect, and attention to their individual concerns. My goal is to help patients feel confident, informed, and supported at every stage of their heart health journey.
